Host a Game

CONvergence Gaming is always looking for friendly and knowledgeable individuals to host games for our members. This includes but is not limited to running tournaments, GMing RPG’s, and doing demos. If you have a game you’d love to share with the rest of the convention, we’d love to have you!

If you are interested in hosting a gaming event, please fill out the Gaming Event Request form.

Please fill out a separate form for each gaming event you wish to host.

Gaming table spaces are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner you get us your request, the better chance you have of getting the day and time you prefer!

Game Hosting Deadlines:

  • April 15 – Submit your gaming events by this date to ensure your games have priority on the schedule and will not interfere with your panel schedule.
  • June 1 – This is the absolute last day you may submit your gaming event to CONvergence Gaming. After June 1, the CONvergence Gaming schedule is frozen and all remaining tables become first-come, first-served.

You should be ready with the following information:

  • Type of game/event (board, card, RPG, etc.)
  • Title of the game/event
  • A description of the game/event (include both a description up to 254 characters for the schedule and a longer description to help CONvergence Gaming staff understand your proposal)
  • Game system
  • Expected approximate duration of the game/event
  • Expected player experience level
  • Appropriate ages
  • Day & time preferences
  • Max player allowance for game

A CONvergence badge is required to run a game, so you’ll want to register for CONvergence as soon as possible if you haven’t already.

Additional Information

  • Volunteering: Hours spent preparing and running your game count as volunteering for the convention, which helps you qualify for nifty volunteer thank you gifts!
  • Theme: This year’s Convention Theme is reboots and re-imaginings of science fiction and fantasy. Games that fit the theme are very encouraged, but all games are welcome!
  • Sign-Ups: We provide the sign-ups for your CONvergence gaming events, so don’t have to worry about how to organize your players!
