Dear CONvergence Members,
After careful consideration and analysis with help from the CONvergence Convention Committee, and after discussion with our main hotel, the Hyatt Regency, the Convergence Events Inc. Board of Directors has made the decision to postpone CONvergence 2020: The Stuff of Legends to 2021.
We hope you will be able to join us for CONvergence 2021: The Stuff of Legends on August 5-8, 2021.
We know you have a lot of questions about memberships. We will be automatically rolling all CONvergence 2020 memberships over to 2021 memberships, but are working on a mechanism to provide members, dealers, artists, etc. to request a refund if preferred. This will take us a little time to put in place. Refunds should be available by June 30th, 2020. We also hope to have more information on hotel room reservations by then.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. While we really wanted to hold the convention this year, the well-being of our community members—especially those with vulnerabilities that put them at greater risk for COVID-19—has always been foremost in our minds. Because of that, and looking at limitations based on the COVID-19 safety restrictions and the overall environment, we did not feel it was possible to present the quality of convention that you’ve come to love and expect at CONvergence.
We are in the process of developing additional virtual programming for the coming year to keep you connected to your CONvergence community, and provide some fun online CONvergence experiences to tide you over until CONvergence 2021. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months!
For now, please know that we do this—and everything—in order to support our community. We would again like to thank you for your patience as we continue to work on the details for this adjustment.
