CONvergence is a volunteer-run event and couldn’t exist without countless hours of work from hundreds of dedicated fans. That’s true from the Department Heads and Staff of the Convention Committee to the at-con volunteer who works a single hour as a badger.

*Sub-heads manage staff and volunteers and have control over department resources

Signing up to Volunteer during CONvergence

Come to the Volunteer Information table in CONvergence Central in the South Tower to sign up for volunteer shifts at the convention, from July 4–8, or contact us to sign up ahead of time. We’re always looking for convention committee (ConCom) members to staff departments for the convention year-round.

Wednesday, July 4: Noon – 6:00pm
Thursday, July 5: Noon – Midnight
Friday, July 6: 9:00am – 11:00pm
Saturday, July 7: 9:00am – Midnight
Sunday, July 8: 10:00am – 6:00pm

Earn Connie Points for every hour worked and redeem them for fun swag. Volunteers who work 15 hours or more earn a unique collectible volunteer t-shirt which cannot be purchased. Remember to get your Volunteer Card signed so you can track your hours

All volunteers will be invited to a Volunteer Appreciation Party at the hotel a couple of weeks after the convention so we can show our appreciation for your help. Thanks for supporting CONvergence!

Volunteers’ Den

The Den is a place for our valued Volunteers to relax after their shift, have a massage or just hang out with other volunteers. All you need to enjoy this perk is four (4) hours of volunteering. Bring your volunteer card and your convention badge to gain entry! We are conveniently located next door to F2E2 and we hope to see you there. (If you have a ConCom badge that works too!)

Remember to check with our Volunteer Staff on duty if you need a couple extra hours to get your Volunteer T-shirt or earn more Connie Points. They will help you find something you will enjoy!
