CONvergence is a volunteer-run event and couldn’t exist without countless hours of work from hundreds of dedicated fans. That’s true from the Department Heads and Staff of the Convention Committee to the at-con volunteer who works a single hour as a badger.
All CONvergence volunteers attending the convention must register for the convention. (Volunteering does not get anyone a free membership.) If you have any questions or would like to volunteer in any area of the convention, please contact the Volunteers department.

How To Volunteer
There are ways to help out for all interests and ability levels! We’re also always looking for Convention Committee (ConCom) members to staff departments for the convention year-round and to plan for next year.
Check out some of the volunteer positions available or simply complete the Volunteering for CONvergence interest form so we can find a position that is right for you.
Sign Up for At-Con Volunteer Shifts
With CONvergence Volunteers SignUpGenius, you can claim your to volunteer shifts in advance of the convention or during the convention, from any device with an internet connection.

Visit the Volunteers Table
During CONvergence, the Volunteers Department can be found on the 2nd floor in Greenway J, right across from Registration Badge Pick-up! The convenient location makes it easy to connect with us and learn about what volunteer opportunities are right for you!

ConSuite can always use a rice wrangler!Want to get some hours in before or after all the fun?

- Thursday 9:00am – 10:00pm
- Friday 9:00am – 8:00pm
- Saturday 9:00am – 8:00pm
- Sunday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Volunteer Hours
Your hours spent volunteering grant you access to CONvergence Volunteer Thank You Gifts as well as access to Volunteers Den, with different food options from ConSuite.

If unable to get to the Volunteers Table during the convention, please contact the Volunteers department to designate a proxy person to pick up your volunteer thank-you gifts. You will need to give the person’s name and written indication that you would like them to pick up your thank-you gifts.
Volunteers Den
CONvergence provides a space for our valued Volunteers to relax after their shift, get some healthy food, or hang out and meet other volunteers. Check out our Volunteers Den page for more info!
Volunteers Party
Everyone who volunteered even one hour to help make CONvergence 2023 happen is invited to the CONvergence Volunteers party! Join CONvergence for a fun and casual outdoor event with your fellow volunteers. Bring games to play, stories to share, and most of all, bring yourselves!

Pick up Volunteer Thank–you Gifts After CONvergence
If you didn’t get a chance to pick up your volunteer thank-you gifts during CONvergence, you can come to one of the following thank-you gift pick-up events.
2023 Volunteers Party
You will be able to pick up Volunteer Thank-you gifts for the entire duration of the 2023 Volunteers party.
All volunteer thank-you gifts are only available while supplies last. No CONvergence 2023 volunteer hours can be redeemed for thank-you gifts after the final pick-up event. CONvergence 2023 volunteer hours do not carry over to 2024.
