Geeks Got Talent

Do you have a special talent? Calling all performers including singers, jugglers, comedians, magicians, acoustic musicians, one-man bands, and sketch comedy.We're going to follow the style of The Gong Show with judging based on performance, originality and audience reaction. If the audience boos the performers will be "gonged" by the judges. Consequently, audience cheers and jeers are highly encouraged. There will be at least two awards: Best and Worst Performance.

Acts interested in performing, should prepare 3-5 minutes of material and should be able to change over quickly for the next group (i.e. no large sets are allowed). Entrants must also supply a short synopsis of their performance on the entry form. There will be no technical or performance rehearsals for this show; be sure to rehearse on your own. Entrants will be expected to arrive an hour prior to show time with pre-edited music CDs and any other equipment.

MainStage has the right to refuse any acts deemed dangerous, hazardous, inappropriate or in violation of convention rules. The following are NOT allowed: Vulgarity, nudity, obscenity, messy or gooey substances (like silly string), fire, weapons of any kind, and trapeze work.
