Larry Dixon - Author

CONvergence is pleased to welcome author Larry Dixon as a Guest of Honor at CONvergence 2005.

Larry Dixon may be a true Renaissance Man. A great writer, he has published numerous books written with his wife Mercedes Lackey, including the first two books of the Serrated Edge series that revolve around homeless children endangered by evil both modern and magical. He’s also co-written two series set in Lackey’s mystical Valdemar: the Mage Wars series featuring the magical Gryphons, and the Owl Mage series, featuring a young wizard named Darian and a healer named Keisha.

An acclaimed artist and interior illustrator, he has done work ranging from Harvard Press to Marvel. He was the Great Eagles reference advisor for the Lord of the Rings films, which reflects his interests in falconry and special effects. He also loves technology, music history, custom cars, comedy, games, fashion and model making.

Along with Mercedes Lackey, Larry works in wildlife rehabilitation, especially with birds of prey.
