What is COF2E2?
COF2E2 is our full service coffee shop! We know that you all like to stay up REALLY late (or early, depending on your definition) and you need caffeine to get you through the night. If you want a half-caf-cappuccino, we can do that! Our specialty is espresso, but don't be afraid to hop in the fast lane for an old fashioned cup of coffee if that's what you want!
For those of you who don't like coffee, we can even do chocolate steamers. You will never have plain old hot cocoa again!
And for those of you with more refine tastes, we also have a selection of black, green, and herbal teas.
What do COF2E2 volunteers do?
COF2E2 needs volunteers to help grind, steam, and brew the delectable java at CONvergence's almost-non-stop caffeine source. For those of you who are less espresso-driven, we also need help apportioning teas, selling fabulous mugs, and keeping everything ship-shape as the convention chugs along. Help out at a place that pretty much everyone passes through at least once. Old friends will know where to find you and new friends may be just across a counter. Contact us at cof2e2@convergence-con.org if you want to volunteer, or if you have ideas about how to make COF2E2 even better.
How do I sign up for a shift?
COF2E2 offers 15 minute training sessions both before and during the con. We will run each training session every hour, on the hour in Cabana 115 during these times:
Wednesday June 29th @ 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm
Thursday June 30th @ 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1pm and 2 pm
If you miss any of those previous times and still want to volunteer, just stop by F2E2 and if we can’t train you then, we’ll set up a time to fit you in. So stop on by at Cabana 115 for some coffee knowledge, sign up for a shift, and get your free espresso drink (a cherry-almond-soy latte perhaps?) before everyone else!
Where is COF2E2?
COF2E2 is located poolside on the bottom level in cabana 115. Just look inside all the windows until you see a room filled with caffeine junkies and hip, new lamps. That's us!
