The CONvergence Video department is announcing the launch of another Youtube channel!
CONvergenceTube is the official CONvergence Youtube channel where you can watch short videos shot by our videography team during the convention. This includes clips from guest of honor interviews, event footage, panels and more! Right now on the channel you’ll find all of our 2011 CONvergence clips as well as Soylent Theater clips from 2004 to 2008! In the coming months, we will add clips encompassing the entire convention going all the way back to 2004!
Additionally, the CONvergence Video department is proud to announce the relaunch of the CVG-TV CONvergence Television Youtube Channel!
On this channel, you can watch content created by convention members as well as convention staff for CONvergence Television, our hotel channel during the convention. This includes PSA’s, promotional videos for room parties and events, videos shown at opening/closing ceremonies, and anything else that’s on CVG-TV during CONvergence!
Visit the Video page for a full list of official YouTube channels.
This year parking is available in two locations.
1. International Dairy Queen Corporation offices parking lot, a couple of blocks north of the Double Tree, at 7505 Metro Boulevard.
2. Lifetouch building parking lot, just west of the Sofitel, at 7800 Picture Drive.
Download the parking maps (PDF) and pay special attention to where parking is allowed at which times.
This year instead of a box set, the Video department is offering five individually packaged DVDs with full panels and shows from CONvergence 2011, including Masquerade, Iron Artist, Smackdown, Vilification Tennis, Opening & Closing Ceremonies and more! This way, more CONvergence members can go home with the parts of CONvergence 2011 most important to them. Download more details on the DVDs (PDF).
The 2011 DVDs are $10 each, or you can purchase all five for the discounted price of $40. You can purchase DVDs during the convention at the Merchandise Table in CONvergence Central.
While ConSuite and parties offer lots of drinks and snacks, you’ll probably want an actual meal sometime during the 4-day con. Below is a listing of restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel. We recommend calling a restaurant to verify that they are open before venturing out.

Check out the official CONvergence Masquerade YouTube channel! We’ve created a separate video for each individual entry in Masquerade. So far we have all of 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 posted. Eventually we will have every Masquerade entry going back to 2004 available. This is just the first of some exciting stuff we are doing with YouTube. Stay tuned for more CVG Video announcements!
