Mark Time Awards and Radio Show
The Geek Partnership Society (formerly MISFITS) will be presenting the 13th Annual Mark Time Awards and Ogle Awards for science fiction and fantasy audio productions. We've received entries from around the world, including New Zealand. Writing and producing an audio drama is just as much work as making a video or film. We listen to them all and let you know what is the best available to all of us who love the genre. Find more at http://www.greatnorthernaudio.com/MarkTime/MarkTime.html. You can listen to winners in Harmonic CONvergence during CONvergence. Judges are evaluating the entries for the current year and we'll post them here before the convention arrives.
Prior to the CONvergence opening ceremonies come in to see the Mark Time Radio Show, this year featuring Guests Chuck McCann and Wally Wingert as well as the usual CONvergence regulars Tim Wick and Windy Bowlsby. And you can bet there'll be a few Bad Guys around, too. "Please don't practice being a villain at home. We are trained professionals.
Congratulations to the winners of the Mark Time Awards for Science Fiction Audio, and the Ogle Awards for Fantasy/Horror Audio for the 2009 Production Year.
This year we have two winners who have won awards before, and two who entered this year for the first time. A part of our mission is to recognize writers and producers who make good science fiction and fantasy audio, and to encourage those who make it to get better at it. This year we get to do both. We’ve had winners from outside the U.S. before, but it was our first time having a winner from Australia.
