Registered members of the CONvergence are free to enjoy exclusive access to many fandom themed parties on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor of the Hyatt. Who knew a hotel room could be transformed into a fallout shelter, a Hogwarts common room, an icee bar from a galaxy far far away, or the U.S.S. Enterprise? Try a mystical snack, play an alien game, or even enjoy a mercenary beverage! Just show your convention badge as you cross each threshold into a dazzling new world, brought to you by the talent and generosity of our amazing party hosts!

CONvergence 2023 Parties

During the convention, several floors of hotel rooms are transformed into incredible themed parties with something for everyone. You must be a registered member of CONvergence to attend CONvergence 2023 parties.

Parties Headquarters – Room 418

A place for party hosts to pick up supplies, check in with the parties department and just a quiet place to step away. Want to learn about throwing a party in the future? Stop by and ask some questions.

3rd Floor

Minicon: Next Gen – Room 3115

Minicon is an very long running convention of many interests, as such our room party will change its theme each night to bring you more Minicon. Of course we will always have Blog!

Midnight Society Presents: The Crimson Kiss – Room 3116

We are a party room dedicated to all things horror. We are a chill space to sit back and watch something scary or discuss the genre. Horror has always been a big part of nerd/geek culture, but it needs its own space. This year, our guiding theme is the horrifying or alluring kiss of the vampire.

Anime Fusion – Room 3117

Revisit classic anime and discover new favorites with the convention that spans the ages. Whether you’re just getting into anime or haven’t dusted off those old VHS tapes in years, there’s a place for you at Anime Fusion. Stop in, watch some anime, and let us grill you a cheese!

The Continental Hotel (Assassin’s Guild) – Room 3120

Seated in the lap of luxury this historic establishment offers its comforts and atmosphere to only the most discerning of clientele. This is a place of meeting and professional discourse. As such no business may be conducted on continental property. All who enter do so as associates and shall meet in peace and civility. Please join us for refreshment, entertainment (Movies, Music, DDR), games, and pleasant company. Find information on the Guild’s events, such as the foam sword combat tournament, or perhaps pick up a contract or two. Here at The Continental we are all friends.

Nerdhain – Room 3121

Nerdhain is a 21+ dance party catering to cryptids, creatures of the night, the fashionable undead, and familiars. Music by local artists; simple cocktail and beer options. Wear your widest or tightest pants.
Lineup: Thursday -metal two-piece Strange Frequency, Friday – nightcore DJ Anita Velveeta, Saturday – goth techno DJ Dazzle.

Answer the Caped Crusader’s call to the Batcave where you’ll dance the Batusi to Batrific club music as you watch Bat-movies or dare to enter Ace Chemicals to indulge in Poison Ivy’s adult toxins, witness Gotham City Sirens dance, and survive Joker’s “impactful” TriviHAHA interrogations, if you can.

Hocus Pocus Focus Group – Room 3123

Join us for some Hocus Pocus. Be surprised how much you wanted to do a Kahoot with strangers. Find the magic of taking a survey. You might score some mediocre artwork! Feel relief it’s over after completing a nonsensical quest. And we know how much you love consuming questionable refreshments!

Outreach from a Vague, yet Menacing Government Agency – Room 3124

Wonderful Citizens! We’re back again despite someone (who is definitely not affiliated with the NSA) told us that parties are not allowed to be directly affiliated with the NSA. Despite this definitely being our first time here. We’re back again with all the same things as last year! Like Karaoke, Drinks, ??Ribbons?, Party Games, and all sorts of other weird and/or spooky things.

Archaide – Room 3125

Journey through the Oasis to the retro-futuristic arcade inspired by the novel Ready Player One, and evocative of the quintessential arcades of the 1980’s. Join us in playing some of your favorite old-school games. We’ll be offering daytime hours and pizza rolls midday until we run out!

Aech’s Basement – Room 3126

Your invitation to Aech’s elite Gunter hangout space. Drop by to chill, catch a flick, read vintage editions of Starlog(TM), and chat about most anything. Open daytime hours offering bloody Marys, breakfast cereals, coffee, and screening films considered canon to a Gunter.
This is a room inspired by the novel Ready Player One – Brought to you by the makers of Vault 131.

Come celebrate the con in style with The Royal Manticorian Navy. Food, drinks at the Blue Coconut Bar, and missile pod rolls twice an hour. Maybe a game or two along with child and sensory friendly activities in the afternoon! (keep an eye out for our flyers for times) The only place where joining the navy is this much fun. Warning: watch out for tree cats.

A bit of the peace and quiet of Middle Earth in the midst of the chaos of CONvergence. Nibble lembas bread and sip cucumber water while enjoying the atmosphere of Rivendell. Have fun competing on a LotR trivia contest, and listen to the live music of Hobbiton.

Take advantage of these scientifically-proven tips from Professor Max Misfittle to get the most out of your CONvergence Party experience!

It’s polite to leave a donation if you eat or drink anything at a party. Arm yourself with a stack of $1 bills to tip your generous party hosts!
Say Hello to everyone in the room! Parties are about meeting people and socializing, so don’t be shy! Whether you’re hopping from room to room or camped in one party for the night, a friendly greeting is often the start of a great conversation!
Help keep the party area clean! If you see some trash on the floor or abandoned on a table, do the party hosts and the convention a favor by picking it up.
Be mindful of traffic. CONvergence parties can get very busy, so try not to crowd the doors or impede traffic in the hallways. If someone asks for your photo, try to step out of the busy traffic area to take it!
Drinking is a privilege not a right. Choosing to serve or not on the basis of presentation of sobriety, general behavior, or DWI flags is completely within the rights of party rooms. Don’t over intoxicate!
Always be respectful. Whether at a party or throughout the rest of the convention, always be respectful of others. Remember that costumes are not consent for touching, grabbing, or harassment. For more information, please see the CONvergence Harassment Policy.
