Also included is brief preview (Progress Report 1) of the following year's convention, including a description of the annual theme and a listing of scheduled Guests of Gonor. It includes forms for Membership Pre-Registration and Hotel Room Reservation, and is mailed in time to Pre-Register before the first rate hike at year's end.

Progress Report 2

Published in March of each year, Progress Report 2 (or PR2) features a more comprehensive preview of the coming convention, including more Guest of Honor listings and more detailed listing of planned events. How do I have these Publications sent to me?

CONvergence mails Progress Reports to everyone who is on our mailing list. When you register for the convention, providing a mailing address puts your on our Publications Mailing List, and providing an email address puts you on our Email Announcement Distribution List. To be added or removed from either list, you can send an email to registration@convergence-con.org.

Can I just read the Progress Reports on line?

Yes! All our Progress Reports are made available on line as PDF files when they are released, and you can OPT OUT of having a print copy of the booklet mailed to you and simply read the PDF version instead. This saves CONvergence and The Society money in both printing and postage costs, and saves paper!

If you are currently on our mailing list and would like to OPT OUT of future Progress Report mailings, simply send an email to registration@convergence-con.org with "Opt Out or PR Mailing" in the subject line, and we will flag you in our database as not wishing to receive the PR booklets by mail. Anyone who has provided us with an email address will receive notifications when new Progress Reports are available, with a link to the PDF file.

You can opt back into receiving Progress Reports by mail with another email to registration@convergence-con.org asking to have the PRs sent to you again.

What Publications are distributed at the convention?

When you pick up your Membership Badge from Registration at the convention you will receive a Membership Packet that includes the following Publications:

Souvenir Book

The Souvenir Book is a larger format (8.5x11") book featuring biographical information on our Guests of Honor, the Convention Committee listing, our "Thank Yous" and acknowledgments, an annual update on the activities GPS has to offer, and our sponsor advertising.

Programming Guide

The Programming Guide is a smaller format book (8.5x5.5") that is your guide to all the convention events, with hotel maps and schedules for Panels, Mainstage events, the Cinema Rex Movie Room, the Theater Nippon Anime Room, and more. There is also a "Parties Guide" section, with descriptions and locations for the dozens of individual room parties to be found at the convention. This publication is bursting at the seams with information about things to do at the convention, and is as current and accurate as we can make it. Updates and corrections can be found posted on kiosks around the convention hotel.

Programming Grid

The Programming Grid is the smallest of our our at-con publications and is literally pocket-sized. It features a condensed listing of the Panels and Events scheduled for the convention weekend in a grid format.
